These brands collaborated with our design teams to create custom and unique patterns for some classic Lugz styles. We have other exciting collabs in the pipeline – with some new styles dropping in the upcoming months.
Vintage Frames x Lugz Dot Com 2.0 The special edition collaboration with Vintage Frames draws inspiration from their first collaboration boot. The all-over ballistic multi-camouflaged Dot Com 2.0, dubbed “The Toe Stepper 2” carries a bold look and feel. Much like the upper, the rugged outsole boasts a marbleized camo design. Debuting at Complex Con 2018, this collaboration received a tremendous response when it was released on Cyber Monday 2018, expect additional iterations in the near future from Lugz and Vintage Frames.
Kid Super x Lugz Dot Com 2.0 The limited edition collaboration features a bold synthetic fur collar lining and premium leather on the upper. The chunky-soled sneaker-boot hybrid features the brand’s speed lacing system, padded collar and tongue offer premium comfort, no matter what your day throws your way. Kid Super’s art work is present on the embroidered toe cap, screen printed memory foam sock liner, and quarter. Each pair comes in a custom shoe box with a limited edition Kid Super co-branded figurine keychain. The ever changing multi-media artist explains, “Hype doesn’t matter. If it is a good design you can make the shoe a desired item.” Released back in November of 2018, Lugz and Kid Super partnered for a NYC based release via a wrapped food truck, which drew inspiration from the collaborations art and packaging.
“Never be Scared to Step On a Couple of Toes..” Straight from the mind of Corey Shapiro, the TOE STEPPER infuses his love of lens colors & camo. These boots are not for the faint of heart; whether you’re jet-setting the world, walking the streets of New York, or just trying to live your best life, these are a must cop. Staying true to who he is, Corey created this custom boot together with LUGZ to give off a 90’s feel, outfitted with modern day technologies.
Brooklyn-based record label Fool’s Gold was founded in 2007 by DJs A-Trak and Nick Catchdubs and quickly established itself with a non-stop series of releases bridging the worlds of hip-hop and electronic music, introducing artists like Danny Brown, Kid Cudi, Duck Sauce, Flosstradamus and Leaf to the world while being praised as “one of the most influential indies in the music business” by Pitchfork. The Fool’s Gold edition of Lugz’ iconic Empire Hi features a “worn” pebble / cobble colorway with gold sole and two-tone laces, signature FG detailing (including a logo patch, metal lace lock, and character insoles) and a boot-shaped USB filled with music and more, all housed in a collectible, fully illustrated box featuring art by Chris M. Wilson.
This is the second collab with Atelier New Regime; a streetwear label created and headquartered in Montreal. Recognized for its refined aesthetic, prominent slogans and striking use of the color orange, ANR prides itself in representing creativity, freedom and passion. Over the years, the label has become a vessel for the collective to explore freedom through art, which has become an underlying theme of the brand’s narrative. Through multidisciplinary design, Atelier New Regime aims to inspire people to reach their full potential by creatively pushing their limits, to change their world and the world around them. The capsule collection features two pairs of winter boots: the Empire Hi ANR as seen in last year’s collaboration makes a return in a stone grey color, and the new Empire Lo silhouette is introduced in a black and orange colorway.
Married to the Mob is at the intersection of feminine and feminist. Tired of streetwear’s exclusion of girls, owner Leah McSweeney responded with the creation of MOB in 2004. Through its use of streamlined cultural references, MOB has grown from a T-shirt line to a full-fledged lifestyle brand, outfitting empowered ladies with everything from snapbacks to sneakers. With this collaboration, McSweeney decorated a black Lugz boot with Married to the Mob’s signature lips graphic and a floral pattern.
Atelier New Regime and Lugz Join Forces on A “Shock-Orange” Work Boot. Montreal-based label, Atelier New Regime followed through with an collaboration with Lugz. The boot is predominantly wrapped in ANR’s signature “shock-orange” colorway and features Lugz’s signature Flexastride memory foam technology as well as a semitransparent outsoles.
